TYPOGRAPHY POSTER

Establishing a good sense of typographical hierarchy is often the backbone around which a good design is further constructed. Therefore, a good understanding of type and placement is crucial when trying to convey a message through this medium.

DIGIFEST SYSTEM

I have been increasingly interested in observing the intersection between art and math (and science), as I find more of my endeavors, both educational and personal, involve reconciling the relationship between the two. Therefore, I wanted to use this relationship to highlight the value and unique quality of the Digital Media program placing equal emphasis on both aspects.

INNOVATION POSTER

I decided to create a poster based around the invention of the X-ray due to the fact that I liked the imagery for this topic and felt it could give me an opportunity to make a unique concept/piece.

VDP INVITATION

For this project, I worked with a group to develop a cohesive postcard idea for DigiFest attendees. Our group was tasked with creating an invitational postcard promoting Digifest, our team utilized Variable Data Printing (VDP) with XMPie uCreate Print extensions in Adobe InDesign 2022 to design a postcard to be distributed through USPS Direct Mail.

ABOUT THIS SERIES

2021

I found taking this photography class to be a great experience for me, as it helped me discover I actually had a passion for photography and now I frequently do it on my own time. My favorite subjects to shoot photos of were close-up macro shots of nature. I also found I enjoyed taking photos at night, and enjoyed the way I could use photography to isolate or suspend subjects in a void-like black space. For this photo book, I compiled 10 pages worth of what I considered to be my best day-time/naturally lit photographs, and subsequently filled the remaining 10 pages with content that I had made during the nighttime for a sense of contrast.

All content was generated using a Nikon D3000 DSLR Camera with minimal editing in Adobe Lightroom.
